Gary Gilson Biography

• Graduate of Dartmouth College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism
• 33-year veteran of the news business
• Executive Director, Minnesota News Council, since 1992
• Journalism teacher at Yale, Columbia, University of Minnesota, St. Thomas, Macalester and Colorado College
• Started at The Minneapolis Star
• Many years in TV documentaries in New York and Los Angeles -- five Emmy Awards
• Host of Newsworthy, the News Council's television interview program
